Greetings!

As the song goes, "There's no place like home for the Holidays!"  But not if there isn't enough food in the home to feed yourself or your family!  For so many of our neighbors that is a very sad fact, it will not be a very Happy Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas.  You see, HUNGER KNOWS NO HOLIDAYS, it only feels worse at holiday time. 

Please help us to make sure that our neighbors can have enough food , not only for the Holiday, but year round also.  Please visit our website and join our ADOPT A FAMILY Program.  Your generous giving will help us to ensure that our neighbors have enough to eat.  It is a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by family and loved ones at Thanksgiving, but it makes it even better to know that you had a hand in providing for  someone who might not necessarily have had a very Happy Holiday.

NOVEMBER Adopt A
"FAMILY"
Welcome to our Adopt A Family Column.  Each month Hillside will highlight a family that your ongoing donations will help us to feed.  This month we highlight Cynthia.  Cynthia is 20 years old and has been forced to put her goals and dreams on hold to keep her siblings together.  You see, Cynthia's mom died this past summer and left her with her 3 siblings to care for - alone.  She has taken a full time job to help pay rent, food, utilities, etc to help keep her remaining family together.  The HFO was called to step in and help Cynthia by providing food for her and her siblings.  Your donations to our Adopt A Family program will help us to continue to provide Cynthia and her household with food on a regular basis.
