FFRW President

Cindy Graves

Dear Ladies,

I know most of you have heard the sad news that our beloved friend and RPOF Chairman Dave Bitner has announced that he will step down as Chairman due to the complications of his illness.

My heart breaks for him and Wendy and for us all in the Florida Federation of Republican Women as Dave has been a devoted champion of all of our efforts.

Please keep him in your prayers as I know our Pastor Patti and so many others have been doing all along.

In my life I have rarely met such a courageous man as Dave Bitner. Even with this crippling illness, he has continued to continued to work every day to raise money for our Party and to prepare Florida for the 2012 Election cycle.

I spoke to Wendy Bitner today and she asked that I send you Dave's warmest regards and heartfelt thanks for the support you have shown him.

What's Next? Lenny Curry as RPOF Chairman

Today there was a conference call of the State Committee which I am sure many of you were on.

As you can see in the letter, Chairman Bitner has endorsed RPOF Vice Chairman Lenny Curry as the next RPOF Chair and hopes that the State Committee will elect him in a special election on Friday September 23rd during Presidency 5. RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day also endorsed Lenny on the conference call.

As you know, Lenny is my radio co-host on What's the Buzz, the Chairman of the Duval Republican Party and my friend. I will support him for Chairman and I know that he will be as enthusiastic in regard to our organization's stellar efforts as Dave Bitner and John Thrasher were.

I hope that those of you on the State Committee will join me in supporting Lenny and those of you without a vote will ask your state Committeewomen, State Committeemen and County Chairs to follow Sharon Day and Chairman Bitner in supporting Lenny as well. He will do an excellent job

With all these changes, we may have a few detours in our agenda for the FFRW Convention but I am not anticipating anything major but I will keep you informed as we go!

Thank you for all you do for the Republican Party.

Sincerely,

Cindy

Ladies,

Please keep Chairman Bitner and his family in your thoughts and prayer!

Kim
