From Pain
TO PRAISE!

THERE IS NEVER A BETTER TIME OF YEAR  to reach out to the unchurched and those who rarely attend church than Easter. Because our church has grown into a "family church", filled with young couples and lots of children, we are hosting our annual Easter "Multimedia Family Celebration" service. Our children's ministry has an excellent and fun program and in the adult service we will be hosting a concert by our band Bez Kompromisa followed by some film clips with a strong evangelical message. Several of our members have indicated that they have friends who have promised to attend, so we're excited and anticipating a great turn-out.

BECAUSE MAY tends to bring unpredictable weather, we have moved our May 1st annual barbeque outreach to June. Once again we have planned a very huge program on the lake for the whole family, complete with free food, live bands, and a play area for children. We are hoping and praying that God will open up doors for us to reach the lost who will be at the lake that day. Please keep both our Easter service and this outreach project in your earnest prayers.

I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU a testimony from a new couple that has recently begun attending our congregation. Below you will read the incredible change God has done in their lives and the incredible testimony they are to everyone that no pit is every too deep that God's arm cannot reach down and save!

"My name is Ivana, I was born a city girl to an atheist family in which I never really knew my father. My father died when I was 12, but was in a coma for 6 years and I never really knew him. The rest of the family on my father's side never accepted me and doubted for a long time that my mother made up the because the family had money. So, I suffered for a long time with rejection and could not accept the love of God because His love seemed so far removed from the results of my sinful, promiscuous life. I met my husband, Nino, during the worst phase of life. He also had a very sad childhood. His father drank and his mother controlled everything. While at war, he experienced an even greater trauma during the Croatian War of Independence, and in the end was hit by a cluster bomb he was left an invalid in the area of his inner abdominal organs and was diagnosed with PTSD. Thus, we were not able to offer each other anything other than pain - until the day we gave our lives to Jesus Christ, who captured us with His love and saved us from the many things that held us bondage, such as drugs, alcohol, promiscuity, medications, and cigarettes. Today we are in a congregation where we believe God has called us to; a place where we can grow and serve others in love. My personal walk with God grows more intimate every day and finally I have a Father as well as a husband who is in the center of God's will, called to be a living testimony to all who think that it is impossible for the Lord to use him to the glory of God alone. Praise the Lord for all that He has done for us."

Nino and Ivana

FINALLY, I ASK YOU TO JOIN ME in prayer for a very special need. My family and I are hoping to move by the end of the year. We are finding that we need a larger place to live with an extra room where we can hold school each day. But in order to do so we are going to need a miracle with our finances. The past year or so our support has been down. Would you be willing to join with us in prayer for the Lord to provide more monthly support and a larger home for my family?

I AM SO THANKFUL  for your faithful prayers and monthly support for my family and the ministry here in Zagreb. May God bless each and every one of you for your faithfulness and generosity!

IN HIM,

Mario Ducic
