SHE IS A SINGLE MOTHER of three daughters living in unimaginable poverty. It is hard to believe that in a metropolitan city such conditions still exist, and yet a news reporter witnessed with his own eyes this destitute family living in a cluster of abandoned, dilapidated houses. Snjezana, together with her three daughters - all of which are facing health challenges and one of which is special needs - fled her abusive husband and took shelter in Zagreb. They are currently living together in a 150 square-foot rat and cockroach-infested shack void of running water and sanitation - which means no indoor bathroom. They heat their small house and cook on a wood stove and wash their laundry by hand, as their washing machine draws water from the outdoors and is currently frozen. And yet they still pay $150.00 rent a month. After having read of their dire situation I knew that we needed to extend a helping hand and the love of Jesus to this needy family. Members of our congregation gathered several bags of food, detergent, and clothing; and after having overwhelmed them with Christ's love, Snjezana visited our church the following Sunday. This is what the church is meant to be - Christ's arm extended to the needy. When we feed the hungry, cloth the naked, and meet their needs, we are doing it as unto the Lord Jesus Himself. And it is an honor! Please keep this family in your earnest prayers. We are trying to find them a new location to live - as these conditions are not livable for them. |

CROATIAN CHRISTIAN COALITION sent a letter in February to the Ministers of the European Council because the government of the Republic of Croatia has still not resolved the situation regarding our religious rights. The government was to begin extending rights denied those congregations who are members of the Croatian Christian Coalition, and had promised to do so through a change of the Law of Religious Communities. They did not wish to sign contracts with religious communities until this law was changed, and yet in October of 2011 they signed a contract with the Jewish community Bet Israel. The members of the Croatian Christian Coalition feel that this action by the government is unjust and discriminatory, which was described in the letter sent to the Ministers of the European Council. Please continue to hold us in prayer as the battle for our religious freedom still wages on. We will not give up the fight. |

NEARLY TWO MONTHS INTO HOMESCHOOLING, we more convinced than ever that we have made the right choice for our family. One of the main reasons why we decided to homeschool was because we were watching our children change in ways that caused us great concern. Long hours in school and extra-curricular activities combined with growing stacks of homework left us very little time to disciple and train them. In the end we were watching our influence in their lives diminish while the worldly influence of their peers was taking precedence in their lives. We knew that if this continued we may well be engaged in a losing battle as there was too little time in the day to combat the hours spent in the company of people who do not share our values. We firmly believe that God gave us our children and that we must disciple and prepare them to do the work and ministry He has called them to do. And this has become the cornerstone in our adventure as homeschooling parents. What better reason to homeschool, than to train up a godly generation of people who will continue to extend God's kingdom on earth!

WE ARE SO THANKFUL for each of you - for your prayer and financial support. Please let us know how we can pray for you as well.
IN HIM,
Mario Ducic
