Two 2012 Grads Drafted by the NHLWow, this was a first - and a second! Congrats to 2012 Grads Griffin Reinhart and Alexander Kerfoot on recently being drafted to the NHL. We look forward to following both of them in the new season!

Dads, Lads & Grads Rugby
Despite some seriously miserable weather, over 30 Dads, Lads and Grads came out on June 16 to Klahanie Park for a soggy afternoon of rugby. After the games, they headed over to Earl's to dry out and catch up with each other and their former coaches. Thanks to all Dads, Lads and Grads who attended this year's event, to Earl's for their hospitality, and to coaches Roger Hatch, Ian Kennedy, Dave Speirs and Peter Brampton for coming out for the fellows! |
Alumni Summer Party
Over 80 alumni, alumni parents and past and present faculty gathered at the Morven Cafeteria on June 21 to celebrate the start of summer and recognize Mandy Richmond and Judy Wilson-Neil on their retirement.
With construction of the new campus having already begun, many of them also took the opportunity to walk the halls of their old school one last time. For more information about the new Morven campus including a fascinating virtual tour of the new campus, click here.

Calling for Nominations for the Mackenzie Awards
Each year, the Alumni Association presents awards to Collingwood alumni who have exhibited outstanding excellence in one of the four strands. Past recipients include Dr. Riley Senft '97 (Service), Janet McLachlan '95 (Athletics), Andrew Stewart '90 (Arts) and Wendy Fok '00 (Academics).
If you wish to nominate a Collingwood graduate who has gone on to exhibit outstanding excellence in any of the four strands (Academics, Arts, Athletics or Service), we welcome your nominations. Click here for a nomination form.

News from Collingwood School
 Collingwood School will be introducing a multi-grade House System in the Senior School commencing September of 2012. Six houses have been created, named in honour of the following people who have had a profound impact on the School:
Groos House - named after Laura Groos, our first founder
Geer House - named after Nick Geer, the first President of the Founding Board of Governors
Mackenzie House - named after David Mackenzie, the first headmaster of the School
Houssian House - named after Joe and Joanna Houssian, our 'first couple' of fundraising
Senft House - named after Jean Senft, the first Chair of the Collingwood School Foundation
Byrd House - named after Liz Byrd, the first Chair of Parents' Council
We are delighted that these exceptional people who contributed so much to Collingwood School have been recognized in such a meaningful way.
