The hottest topic in the Food & Beverage industry is Food Safety Systems. FDA and USDA product recalls seem to be a daily occurrence. Recalls are an expensive operation, and put some companies out of business. Maple Leaf Foods(CA) took a prominent leadership position in December to form an outside independent FOOD SAFETY ADVISORY BOARD to critique the current food safety program and recommend technology gap improvements to further mitigate their business risk. IT software companies should focus integrated tracking and tracing systems.

Special Simulation Modeling Offer!
Poultry Processing

Food Technical Consulting is actively looking for food and beverage companies interested in simulation modeling an area of their manufacturing operations, farm-to-fork supply chain, or food safety/quality assurance systems at a reduced rate. The initial project will become the basis for annual Food & Beverage "Business Simulation Modeling Courses" offered to small, medium, and large food companies seriously interested in making significant improvements in productivity, profitability, and efficiencies.

Previously, our company completed the first ever simulation modeling of the poultry supply chain from feed mills and growout houses, through the processing plant, to the end use consumer. In order to continuously improve our modeling consulting solution, we have partnered with the premier simulation modeling company in the medical field to create dynamic process modeling that incorporates finite capacity production planning, theory of constraints limitations, lean manufacturing, flow manufacturing, activity-based costing, and Kanban practices.

We further believe one of the greatest opportunities in food and beverage processing lies in modeling food safety programs - which would represent industry leading business process management.

Subject Matter Expert Value

Subject Matter Experts represent an invaluable resource in the Food & Beverage industry. An experienced expert with hands-on manufacturing experience brings instant credibility to food executives because they understand food quality, manufacturing processes, business requirements, data flow between departments, and industry trends that give your clients that competitive edge in their market place. Over the course of a project, they save your clients saving time and money throughout the the IT technology selection and implementation process.

Since some subject matter experts may not be familiar with IT systems and their technology requirements, it is always important to pair them up with leading software technology experts who can coach them along the project pathway. Proper use of subject matter experts will give food executives the confidence that their systems project is in good hands!
