Safari - Swahili

"A journey".  Originally referred to as a short trip as common as going to the market, the English term refers to a journey or expedition for hunting or exploration, especially in eastern Africa.

  

Pajamas - Persian

"Paijama," "pai" meaning leg and "jama" meaning garment refers to loose pants with a drawstring worn in Asia by both sexes. The United States, Britain and Canada threw a loose top in and call the sleeping/lounge wear pajamas. 

  

Quasi - Latin

"As if" was used in Latin as it is by us today, but over time the term has been used as a prefix to words such as  describe something that is is somewhat, almost or bears a resemblance to the real deal.
