Hello Shooters,
Just dropping you a quick reminder about this Saturday's free shoot and political shindig. SAO is proud to host a candidate's Meet and Greet on June 9th at 6pm. There will be FREE shooting until 8pm (ammo, targets and ear/eye protection not included), Free DJ, Free BBQ & Drinks and you'll get a chance to meet some of the candidates for various local offices. Nassau County Sheriff is one of the more important positions up for grabs this year and we can guarantee that one of the front-runners will be here to answer any of your questions. No need to call to reserve, just show up, chow down and get your bang-bang on.
Father's Day and New Hours
We're going to try a little experiment here at the range that many of you will appreciate (we hope). We will start opening earlier on Sundays. Our current hours are 10am to 7pm Mon - Sat and 12pm to 5pm on Sundays. Well, we found over the past several months that, on a shooter per hour basis, Sundays have been one of our best days. So, starting on Father's Day, Sunday June 17th, we will begin opening the doors at 10am every Sunday. We'll still close at 5pm so our associates and customers can get hope for supper but y'all can start lining up earlier for your spot on the range now. And, don't forget, Annual Members can call in advance to reserve their lanes. (Please remember that the more lead time you give us for reservations, the better we are able to serve you.)
So, to kick off the new Sunday hours, sons and daughters 12 years of age and up arriving before noon on Father's Day will shoot free when accompanied by their Dad.
Happy Father's Day!
A Star is Born
Some of you may remember that in our last email we challenged you to suggest names for our ever-enthusiastic mascot. Thanks to all of you who took the time to participate. We didn't get a huge response but some were quite good. We'd still like to hear more suggestions if you have any but for the time being, our tactical ninja mannequin shall be known as Billy O. which is short for Bill O. Rights. No one having met Billy would even think about messing around with his namesake. Go ahead, just try prying his tactical 12 gauge shotgun from his cold, dead hands! He (or one of our sales associates) will make you pay for it.
Progress on the Techie Front
There are 769 of you (last time I looked) who were "friends" of nassaurange on Facebook. You may have noticed that there is no more facebook.com/nassaurange. There are, however, now 769 "likes" on facebook.com/secondamendmentoutfitters If you have not done so already, please "like" our new page (even though it's a bit weak right now) and check back often for the latest goings-on there as well as on our website www.secondamendmentoutfitters.com We have not been very diligent about updating either page lately but promise to make it more part of our routine. Please pass the word to your shooter friends also.
Hot New Trade-ins
These ones are so hot and will go so quickly that I can't even offer a discount in this email - sorry.
For you Kimber fans out there, we got the rare trade-in last week and this one is very nice. It is a Super Carry Ultra HD from Kimber's Custom Shop and carries an MSRP of over $1,600 new. This one is very lightly used, not a mark on it, with spare magazine and we're asking just $1,175.
Go here for all the specs:

This little Kahr P380 is one of the best .380 carry pistols on the market in terms of performance and reliability. And, unlike some Kahr pistols, the slide on this model is quite easy to manipulate, making it a good choice for a lot of lady's who often have difficulty chambering a round on the smaller semi-autos. It's also one of the few pocket pistols with real front and rear sights. Kahr has set the MSRP at $649 but you can get this pristine trade-in, with three magazines and a leather DeSantis holster, for just $499.99.
Once again, thank you all for your business and we look forward to seing you back at the gun range in the near future.
Michael Gorman
Proprietor
P.S. We recently applied to become a Class 3 dealer which will allow us to buy and sell fully automatic weapons, suppressors and the like. We'll also make them available for rent to shoot in the range. We'll post all the details on FB and the website and send an email announcing the launch, which should be shortly after July 1st. Stay tuned.
