Some of you may have already heard that your favorite gun shop has changed hands. My name is Mike Gorman and I'm the new owner of Second Amendment Outfitters (SAO), formerly 
known as Second Amendment Inc. (SAI). I acquired the shop and range from Chris Hartley and K.C. Pake about a month ago and I'm very excited about serving the great community of shooters in North Florida, South Georgia and all those who visit us from around the country. Thank you all for your loyal patronage of Nassau County's only indoor, climate-controlled rifle and pistol range.

I would like to communicate with you regularly through emails like these, maybe a couple of times a month. I hope you will value these emails as a means of staying on top of SAO events, sales, shooting tips, class schedules, and as a way to provide feedback on what you like about SAO and what products and services you'd like to see added or improved. I've posted our first brief survey here and would greatly appreciate a couple of minutes of your time to let me know your thoughts on how we're doing.

The More Things Change...
Thanks to folks like you, SAI enjoyed success during its relatively short history of less than two years of operation. I am a firm believer in not messing with success, so you'll not notice a whole lot of change at Second Amendment Outfitters.
Mark Puca will continue to provide his friendly, knowledgeable service with that infectious smile of his. 
And, when I force Mark to take a break now and then, David and Eric will be here to provide their courteous and patient service, as usual. Heck, you may even see me behind the counter once I learn how to run the register. The neighborhood barber shop vibe that everyone finds so refreshing at a gun shop will never be compromised at SAO - it's what sets us apart from the competition.
Join Us on Saturday September 10th...
Please mark your calendar and reserve some time to visit Second Amendment Outfitters on Saturday, September 10th to attend our 9/11 Memorial Ceremony during which we honor the courage of America's first responders and all of our brave servicemen and women who have sacrificed much to avenge our loss and ensure that America never falls victim to another cowardly act of terrorism again.
The day will be marked by the singing of the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance led by the children, a 21-gun salute, drum and bagpipe performance, the marching of the local Honor Guard and folding of Old Glory accompanied by TAPS on bugle.
There will be free food from Billy Bob's BBQ, a bouncy house for the kids, law enforcement and fire department vehicles and watercraft, special deals from Smith and Wesson, Glock , Safariland and others, door prizes and other giveaways, and the raffle for a grand-prize S&W M&P AR15.
This was a well-attended event last year with hundreds of people of all ages participating in the moving and patriotic ceremony. This being the 10th anniversary of that terrible day, we expect an even larger crowd this year. Doors open at 10am and the ceremony begins at noon. SAO Shooter's Academy - Enroll Now!
As many of you know, SAO is not just a gun shop and shooting range. We are also committed to fully outfitting the shooter with firearms training and 
instruction and we are staffed and equipped to do so. We are in the process of expanding our curriculum and we now offer four popular classes:
- NRA Pistol Orientation (Basic Pistol) -taught by NRA Certified Instructor Cathy Mulcahy, for beginning shooters, 2 hours hands-on classroom instruction on handgun function and safety, 2 hours in the range firing a variety of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols in various calibers, fulfills FL Concealed Weapons Permit requirement, $90
- Concealed Weapons Permit - taught by Fernandina Beach PD Captain Jim Norman, for shooters with some handgun experience, 1.5 hours classroom instruction, .5 hour in the range, $55
- NRA Self Defense in the Home - taught by Cathy Mulcahy and former FL Assistant State Attorney, Eric Roberson, for shooters of all levels, 9 hours of classroom and in-range instruction over two days (Sat & Sun), covers all tactical and legal aspects of defending yourself and your family in the event of a home invasion, $180
- Ladies Night at the Range - led by Cathy Mulcahy, for intermediate shooters having passed a Basic Pistol or equivalent class, 2 hours of supervised, instructional range time, improves accuracy and tactics including shooting from cover, low light conditions, multiple targets, etc., $25, Tonight, Tuesday 8/30 is the first Ladies Night so call now before space runs out!
