A Spring Renewal Workshop presented by Kathy Niedzielski

Saturday, March 19th, 2011; 2:00pm-4:00 pm

Taught by: Kathy Niedzielski, RYT

$25;  Pre-registration is requested.Click here to register online.

Welcome the spring with an energizing, full-system cleansing. This workshop will incorporate three potent yogic elements for purification: a series of warming twists and inversion poses to wring the winter's buildup of stress and toxins from our bodies and promote spinal health; cooling breath work to refresh and clarify the mind, and renew the spirit; and, the kriya practice the Ten Bodies, to strengthen and rejuvenate all aspects of our beings. Wake up from the winter doldrums and let in the fresh spring energy. All poses and kriyas will be modified for most physical ability levels.

Spring and all its flowers

Now joyously break their vow of silence.

It is time for celebration, not for lying low;

You too - weed out those roots of sadness from your heart.

~ Hafiz ~

Meet our downtown businesses....

We would like to personally introduce some of our downtown merchants to you in our coming newsletters.  One of our WSU interns, Tina Mancini, recently sat down with the owner and manager of Erin's Own Irish Imports and learned what makes their shop so unique!

New! "Kerry Glass"

        Saint Patrick's Day is right around the corner so instead of traveling all the way to Ireland, visit Erin's Own Irish Imports at 170 Elm St. to pick up all your authentic Irish clothing and gifts.

        Erin's Own Irish Imports has been in downtown Westfield for about thirty years offering unique Irish merchandise. Erin's Own Irish Imports opened in 1982 established with the need to a start up a unique store bringing Irish imports into the area.

        At the time of opening, manager Mary Doherty recalled, the store also carried "Walton's Wholesale Music" which offered Irish music, tin whistles and books and the space also hosted Erin World Travel Agency right next door.  Being Downtown was the place to be years ago, but in the past year retailers have been hurting from the redevelopment and the emergence of the big box chain stores. Owner Mary Noone commented, "We carry products you won't see in their stores, so it's worth the trip downtown to get someone that special and unique gift."

         Erin's Own Irish Imports' has something for everyone, you do not need to be of Irish heritage to shop here, the products they offer are gifts anyone would love. Erin's Own Irish Imports offers a wide variety of merchandise from Irish sweaters, jewelry, Belleek china, pottery, and their new line, "Kerry Crafted Glass"..., the list goes on. Not only does Erin's Own Irish Imports have unique gifts it also provides great service, upon walking into the store the atmosphere is very welcoming, friendly, open, and as their motto says, "Tis just like shopping in Ireland itself".

           Erin's Own Irish Imports is the only store in the area which carries authentic Irish products. New items are constantly coming into the store, every time you stop in there is sure to be lots of new arrivals. People come from all over New England to shop at Erin's Own Irish Imports because it offers unique specialty products straight from Ireland that cannot be found anywhere else in our area. Soon, they hope to launch a website so that these wonderful products are available at the click of a button to an even greater audience.

           Come and stop in at Erin's Own Irish Imports and get that perfect gift or Irish apparel for this Saint Patrick's Day! "Tis just like shopping in Ireland itself!"
