On the 10th anniversary of September 11, we take the time to remember all those who lost their lives and think of their families. We also honor the men and women who continue to keep us safe and free.
Local 9/11 Commemoration Update
The Prince William County Liberty Memorial will hold a public candlelight ceremony commemorating the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will be held on the County Complex at the base of the stairs leading up to the County’s Liberty Memorial.
The Pentagon Memorial will have an invite-only ceremony for families of 9/11 victims on Sunday, September 11. The Pentagon Memorial will re-open to the public following the ceremony. Approximate time for reopening is 5:00 PM.
