Community Leadership Awards Luncheon
 
group3Join us on December 2 to honor outstanding community leaders for their efforts to help build cultural bridges between Asian-Americans and other groups.  The award recipients are Donna Fujimoto Cole, President/CEO of Cole Chemical; and Elsie Huang, Chair of the Mayor's International Affairs and Development Council-Asia/Australia.  We will celebrate their accomplishments, contributions to our city, and their outstanding leadership.  The event chairs are Hon. Theresa Chang and Dr. Peter Chang.

Dragons & Fairies presented by Children's Museum of Houston

dragonEnter a magical place where aspects of modern day life in Vietnam interweave with centuries-old folktales. Created by the Children's Museum of Houston, Dragons & Fairies: Exploring Viet Nam Through Folktales provides a profusion of hands-on, interactive experiences about the culture of people in Vietnam. The exhibit uses five traditional Vietnamese folktales as vehicles to engage in conversations, activities and resources related to learning more about Vietnam, its people and heritage. Contemporary Korean Art Exhibition

The MFAH is the second and final venue for the first major museum exhibition in the continental U.S. in almost two decades to focus on contemporary art from South Korea. Organized by the MFAH and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Your Bright Future: 12 Contemporary Artists from Korea features a generation of artists who have emerged since the mid-1980s-some well-known and others on the brink of such recognition - all of whom work on the cutting-edge of international art trends and within a distinctly Korean context.  Read more .....
