SACC-Ohio and other local Swedish
organizations support the
Cleveland International Film Festival, CIFF
This year's film festival
will feature the following three Swedish films, supported by local Swedish
oriented organizations:
- "Falkenberg Farewell" on March 20 & 21, sponsored byThe Swedish Cultural Society.
- "The Ape" on March
19 & 20, sponsored by SACC-Ohio and the Swedish Consulate
- "The Girl" on March 21, 23 & 24, sponsored by the local Vasa lodge
The director of "The Ape" and
"Falkenberg Farewell", Jesper Ganslandt, will be present for both of his films
to be screened on Saturday, March 20 and he will be available to answer
questions after each film. He will receive an award from CIFF at the
first film (which starts about 2:15pm). Following the conclusion of the
second film and Q & A (about 6:15pm) the Swedish Consulate will host a
reception for Mr. Ganslandt at a location in Tower City. That reception
will be an opportunity to meet Mr. Ganslandt and enjoy some hors d' oeuvres,
snacks and refreshments (cash bar).
