As we bring this school year to a close, I want to thank everyone for their support throughout the year. It has been a wonderful year and everyone is well deserving of the upcoming summer vacation. I wish everyone a safe, fun and relaxing vacation!

On the last day of school children will receive their report cards. It is important that all library books and classroom materials be returned by students.

Last Day of School:   Our last day of school is June 24 with dismissal at 12:30 for K - 4 students.

No Pets on School Grounds:
As per the South School handbook, PETS are NOT ALLOWED on school grounds before, during or after school hours.  Thank you for your cooperation with this issue, as we have many students who have animal related allergies.

Boxes Needed...We are in need of empty boxes for teachers who will be located in different rooms for next year. If anyone has boxes to donate, please leave them in the main foyer. Thank you.

Thank you from the PTC!

This is our last South Star of 2009-10!  We wanted to take this opportunity to thank the many people who helped to make this year at South School one of the best ever!

First, we'd like to extend a special thanks to those parents who are moving on from South School.  Many of you worked as PTC Board Members, chairs or volunteers, and you left your mark here.  South School is a better place for your time, efforts and ideas.  You will be missed!

We are also very grateful to the many parents who volunteered their time this year.  Whether you could only spare an hour in a classroom, or took up residence at the Welcome Desk, your contributions mattered.  South School is special because of what we are able to offer our students and families, and without the help of our parents, none of it would be possible.  Clearly, South School is not only "where are the great kids meet,"  it's where all the great parents meet too!

Our most sincere thanks go to Joanne Rocco, Matt Kascak and all our teachers and staff.  It's been our privilege to work with them this year, and witness first-hand how dedicated they are to each and every South student.  Though their primary focus may be providing our children with an excellent education, it is by no means their sole focus.  They keep a careful eye each day to ensure that our children are happy, confident, and well-rounded people.  We are very fortunate to have them all!

We'll be in touch as the summer progresses to get you ready for another great year at South.  Look for our emails in August.  In the meantime, have a wonderful summer!
