Help Your Kids With Math Start off the school year with this terrific reference book.  It includes the newer Math that has evolved since the 20th century and is an excellent resource for parents, students and teachers.  The book has colorful and accurate graphics showing procedural topics like division along with visual/spatial concepts such as the Pythagorean Theorem.  There is a wonderful reference section as an appendix.

Flashcards

Problem-solving for Math tests can be complemented by flashcards. Index cards are good old-fashioned study tools but there are also modern day apps that provide the same experience although using one's cell phone for studying may prove to be more distracting than the tried-and-true index card.
