Coolmath Survival GuideThis fun, easy-to-read book by Coolmath creator Karen Lyn Davis is inspiring and witty as it outlines how to succeed in Math class and in life in general.   Her list of the 7 things successful people have include creativity, the ability to think and figure things out, the ability to self-teach, a thirst for knowledge, confidence, a positive attitude and drive.

Study Skills

Study skills for Math which is exam and performance based can be broken down into three categories:
I. Pre-Test:  Keep your review sheet clean so that you can re-solve the problems (without the answer there)
Know  examples to complement formulas
Think about your thinking -- how'd you figure it out?  Was it easy, medium, hard?
2. Test Day: Self-Care: Food, water, sleep, organization
Solve in any order that you like.
Remember test-taking is a learning opportunity.
3. Getting Smart: Test prep can make you smart -- borrowing from the not-for-profit for the UN Food Program
Freerice -- thier web site contains a "WARNING: This game may make you smarter.   It may improve your speaking, writing, thinking, grades, job performance..."
