Mission Statement:
To support and uplift those experiencing
the loss of employment by sharing career development resources, networking opportunities, prayer, and fellowship in a faith-based, compassionate, and encouraging environment

"To rejoice in another's prosperity, is to give content to your own lot: to mitigate another's grief, is to alleviate or dispel your own"

~  Thomas Edwards  ~

vmv A word from Vocare's fiscal sponsor, Visions Made Viable:

Introducing Visions Made Viable!

We'd like to introduce you to Visions Made Viable, a creative way to serve social entrepreneurs, missionaries and community activists. VMV is a non-profit incubator, a fiscal sponsor, and an administrative back office for people who want to make a difference.  We provide legal, fiscal and administrative sponsorship for individuals and groups that want to work for social change without all the hassle of immediately creating their own non-profits.

Please take a few minutes to check out our website (www.visionsmadeviable.org) and pay particular attention to our mission and services section if you want to make your time count. We think you'll be excited about what you see.

Why are we launching Visions Made Viable?

Well, it's hard to think of a time when the need for new and creative approaches by up and coming social entrepreneurs, missionaries and community activists was more pressing. Tough times here and around the world have created even more challenges than usual, and many older approaches have proven relatively ineffective. VMV identifies these new and creative approaches and gives them a non-profit home.

Also, it's hard to think of a time when it was more important to coach, mentor and hold those change agents accountable to ensure that they actually get their mission accomplished. Given the dramatically reduced resources available and the heightened need, making sure that as many these new efforts as possible 'get it done' is essential. VMV is an incubator for these new efforts that combines consulting and accountability in a way that allows them to flourish.

Even more so, given the economy, is there a time when consolidating effort and saving money was more critical? In these times of economic struggle, we think creating a single non-profit entity and administrative structure that can shelter and serve many new social change efforts is simply good stewardship and will save precious time and money often lost through duplicated effort. Doing more with less is now a moral imperative. VMV is that resource-conserving, good-stewardship-promoting structure.

VMV started up a couple of years ago and is already helping well over 20 projects around the world make a difference. We've become even more convinced VMV is the right idea at the right time.

How you can help us offer our services

Forward this message on. Spreading the word about VMV this way saves us money on advertising so that we can invest in new social change efforts.

Let us know about anyone you think would benefit from our services. If you have friends or acquaintances who want to make a difference and have an idea for a project or who need help with a project or non-profit they've already launched, pass their name and contact information on to us. You can reach us at info@visionsmadeviable.org.  Thanks so much for your help in supporting cutting edge social change!
