the loss of employment by sharing career development resources, networking opportunities, prayer, and fellowship in a faith-based, compassionate, and encouraging environment

TalentFest is Coming!

talentfest

TalentFest is sponsored by Ascension Lutheran Church's Lay Ministry Committee and is a place for Ascension members, friends, and employees to showcase their creative abilities in a forum where they can sell their "wares" during these difficult economic times.

Do you:

· make jewelry      · paint      · do woodworking

· sew     · make ceramics      · knit, crochet or embroider...

or use your God-given talents to create objects and art? If so, you are invited  to be a part of TalentFest:

9 am to 2 pm

Saturday, Oct. 16

Ascension Lutheran Church

TalentFest will also feature a commercial section for those who would like to present their businesses, such as:

· landscaping       · construction
· jewelry             · coosmetics
·  travel                · insurance
· marketing          · photography
· and much more!

We'll provide the tables for you to dress up and show off your wares.  You provide the creativity and the expertise! Cost is $5 for non-commercial (the first group noted in this article) and $20 for commercial businesses (the second group). Tables are on a first-come, first-served basis and they are limited.

To reserve a table, make a check out for the appropriate amount to Ascension and note "TalentFest" in the memo part. Include a note with your name, type of creation or work along with your phone number and e-mail address. Send it to Ascension or drop it off at church to the attention of Susanne Hopkins, director of lay ministry.

Questions? Call Susanne in the church office, 805-495-0406.
