In about an hour and a half, and under local anesthesia with a little valium to help allay anxiety, small incisions are made around the ears and under the chin. Conservative lipo-sculpting and then a muscle-lift allows for the removal of lax skin. Dr. Lindsey has performed more than 3,000 of these procedures and most patients need little pain medicine after the first night. Stitches come out at one week, and most patients can resume any activity at that time.
