Greetings!
Happy Holidays to all. Chateau du Lac is looking very festive with holiday decor and should become even more decorated with many entries in our "Decorate a Plate" contest. We look forward to visiting with and serving you throughout the holiday season.
With the holiday season just around the corner, you'll want to finalize your catering plans. Visit ChateauDuLacBistro.com to see a sample catering menu. We will also be delighted to work with you on your custom menus, whether it's a buffet or seated lunch or dinner. Chateau du Lac will be excited to help you plan your event. We are offering three course menus, starting at just $30 ++ per person. Call Paige Saleun at (504) 831-3773 or email chateaudulac@aol.com for more information.
Plan early. Call now to make your Christmas and New Year's Eve reservations. We will be open as follows:
Christmas Eve: Thursday - 12/24 from 4 - 8 PM
New Year's Eve: Thursday 12/31 from 5 - 9 PM
* On New Year's Eve, we celebrate every hour on the hour with cities in different time zones around the world, so you don't have to wait until midnight to bring in the New Year with a glass of champagne.
NOTES:
- Our daughter, Ainsley, performed this past weekend with The New Orleans Ballet Theatre in the Nutcracker. She played a beautiful "angel" (as she is always) and we are very proud of her. Thank you to all of you who attended, and who came in with your tickets and enjoyed our prix fixe dinner.
Chef is now serving "foie gras gumbo" throughout the winter season. This is Chef Jacques' original creation and only available through Chateau du Lac.
- December's "Wine Tasting Wednesday" will be lots of fun, sponsored by Chateau du Lac and featuring "CELEBRATIONAL CHAMPAGNES". This month's event is Wednesday, December 2nd at the Chateau du Lac bar from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. These tastings are the first Wednesday of every month. Included with the $8 per flight (champagne) is Chef's selection of marvelous hors d'oeuvres! Our mandolin player, Eddie Russo, will be there. This event is a special treat that you'll definitely want to attend.

Au revoir,
Consider decorating a plate during the holiday season! Each time you join us for a dinner or lunch entree you can get a plate to decorate that will be placed on our wall for holiday decor and entered into our holiday contest. You may bring your plate home and return it later to be entered into the contest, maybe even have your child decorate it...
Please come visit us here at Chateau du Lac over the Holiday Season. We are so thankful to have such a beautiful and warm group of people for our clientele and we want to see you and visit with you during the holidays.
Please let us know if there is any way we can be of service to help make your holidays easier or more beautiful. Chateau means castle in French, but to us it means "home" and we want to make sure you all know you are always welcome here. Drop by any time and have a drink or dine with us here at Chateau du Lac Bistro on Metairie Road.
Contact us with any questions or needs, and as always, we will do our best to serve you.
Bonjour Mes Amis,
Paige Saleun Chateau du Lac
