 Welcome to our September newsletter, where we make you the insider on specials, events, coupons and information about Chateau du Lac Bistro.
We have a lot of news to catch you up with this month. Merci beaucoup to all of you who attended for a very successful "Julie & Julia" Tom Fitzmorris Eat Club Dinner. Lots of people experienced our special way of "Bon Appetit" last Wednesday night here at Chateau du Lac. Special thanks to you, Tom Fitzmorris, for your confidence in us.

RESTAURANT NEWS:
We will be implementing our Fall menu in September. Coming back in season are Chef's delicious mussels and frites, and his oysters with garlic herbs and parmesan butter. Because Chef Jacques' foie gras terrine a la maison is such a huge success, we will always have it available in house.
Catering
When planning your holiday or any special events at Chateau du Lac or at your location of choice, please call us for custom menus and prices. We will work with you, whether it's a buffet or seated lunch or dinner. Chateau du Lac will be excited to help you plan your event. We are offering three course menus, starting at just $30 ++ per person. Call Paige Saleun at (504) 831-3773 for more information.
 New Beer
We have added a new beer to our import line. Leffe Blonde Belgian Abbey Ale. Next time you're having a beer, try Leffe. Stay tuned for details about Chateau du Lac's Beer Tasting and Choucroute Fest, coming Thursday, October 1st for "Octoberfest".
Chef's House Made Specialty Jams
Chef Jacques has been busy in the kitchen, making and creating jams to sell by the jar. Mouth watering flavors like pear, fig, plum, and coming soon - a fennel that has to be tasted to be believed! Prices range from $6-10 a jar.
Walk-ins
Walk-ins are always welcome. Don't feel like you have to have a reservation. If it's a busy night, it's usually no more than a "one drink wait" at our friendly bar.
MONTHLY REMINDERS
- September's "Wine Tasting Wednesday" will be featuring some great wines from Morgan of Purveyor of Fine Wines. This month's event is Wednesday, September 2nd at the Chateau du Lac bar from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. These tastings are the first Wednesday of every month. Included with the $5 per flight is Chef's selection of hors d'oeuvres! Put us on your calendar and we'll see you on the 2nd.
- On your next visit to Chateau du Lac, be sure to drop your business card into the fish bowl or fill out a raffle slip to win dinner for two. Drawings are held monthly at "Wine Tasting Wednesdays". (Need not be present to win).
 - "2 for 1 Happy Hour at Our Bar" is Tuesdays through Saturdays from 5:30-7 PM. Our cocktails are always great quality, because we stock our well full of premium brands. Included are wines by the glass and our import beer. |

| Gypsy Trio Goes Monthly
The Gypsy Trio will be joining us at least once a month. They will be performing here at Chateau du Lac on Thursday, September 24th, from 6 - 9 PM. Next month, on October 21st and 28th, (both dates are Wednesdays) from 6 - 9 PM.

"Menu Parisien"  Chateau du Lac 's classic "menu parisien" special continues again through September. Enjoy a soup or salad with the "plat du jour" and a beverage for just $16 "prix fixe".
As a reminder, lunch is served from 11:30 - 2 pm, on Tuesday thru Friday. If you would like to have a quick 30 minute lunch, our Menu Parisien is the way to go. (Be sure to tell your server right away.)

 Kids Eat Half Price
We all have to spring for school supplies this month, so let Chateau du Lac help your budget by treating the kids (13 and under) to one of our kid's meals at half off for dinner. This special is in effect from 5:30 - 6:30, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, through September 24th.
