RESTAURANT NEWS:
- Chateau du Lac will be closed for Independence Day on Saturday, July 4th. Otherwise, we are open for business as usual.
- July's "Wine Tasting Wednesday" will be featuring some great wines from our own wine list. This month's event is Wednesday, July 1st at the Chateau du Lac bar from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Reservations not needed, just drop on by.
These tastings are the first Wednesday of every month and a bargain at only $5 per flight, including hors d'oeuvres! Samplings are very tasty. Put us on your calendar - our wine tasting events are a definite "must attend".
- Eat, Drink and Help Fight AIDS. Chateau du Lac is spoonsoring "Dining Out for Life" on Thursday, July 16th. We will donate 25% of our sales to the NO/AIDS Task Force to help people affected by HIV/AIDS. More info at: http://DiningOutForLife.com. - On your next visit to Chateau du Lac, be sure to drop your business card into the fish bowl or fill out a raffle slip to win dinner for two. Drawings are held monthly at "Wine Tasting Wednesdays".
 - "2 for 1 Happy Hour at Our Bar" has been in effect for a month now. We love visiting with everyone who visits us Tuesdays through Saturdays from 5:30-7 PM. Come one, come all, every second drink is on the house. Remember, our cocktails are always great quality, because we stock our well full of premium brands.
- The Old Metairie Road Business Association is holding a "Business Networking Social and Lead Swap" event at Chateau du Lac on Wednesday, July 28th for its members and their guests.  Special Day at Chateau du Lac
Summer is here and that means Bastille Day is right around the corner.
On Tuesday, July 14, Chateau du Lac, along with France, will be celebrating
"1790 Fete de la Federation", which was held some 200 years ago on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille.
Please join us for lunch or dinner on that day. Chateau du Lac will be offering a $25 three-course "prix fixe" menu and that night, "The Gypsy Trio", former members of "Vavavoom", will be perfoming. Reservations accepted, please call 504-831-3773.
Menu items include: vichysoise, pissaladiere, salade verte, coq au vin, bouillabaise, duck confit, ile flottante, mousse au chocolat and other French spacials.

| LUNCH SPECIAL FOR JULY |

"Menu Parisien"  Chateau du Lac is serving a classic "menu parisien". Enjoy a soup or salad with the "plat du jour" and a beverage for $16 "prix fixe".
The $16 July lunch special is a $25-$30 value (depending on Chef Jacques' daily selection of plat du jour). This is another one of our great Chateau du Lac specials, so grab some friends and hurry over for lunch.
This special begins on Tuesday, July 7th and continues through the end of the month. As a reminder, lunch is served from 11:30 - 2 pm Tuesday thru Friday.

OUR FRIEND, RITZ CHEF MATT MURPHY'S CHARITY FUNDRAISER WAS A HUGE SUCCESS |

 Fundraising Event Raised Over $150K
If the fun and generosity of people could make someone's health better, then the recent fundraising event "Chefs for Chef Murphy" for our friend, Chef Matt Murphy, would have to be given credit. Over $150,000 was raised recently at the hugely successful charity event at the Ritz-Carlton. Along with many other famous New Orleans chefs, Chateau du Lac's Chef Jacques, Paige Saleun and our staff, were delighted to participate.
Chef Murphy is now out of ICU, although it is a long road ahead with many surgeries. He is enjoying eating again and spending time with friends and family.
Matthew Murphy, executive chef at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, has been fighting the sudden affliction of a rare and severe infection and blood condition. |
