Free Sheet Music to Download

Dear                     free

Here's your JB Linear Monthly Freebie.

This month's free sheet music is a summer delight! "The Musical Snuff Box", Op. 32 by Anatole Lyadov. This is a light, tinkly piece and has the subtitle of "Waltz - Joke". This is set for high woodwind duets by John Gibson. (Piccolo/Flute, 2 Flutes, Flute/Clarinet, Eb Clarinet/Bb Clarinet, Soprano Sax/Alto Sax, and 2 Bassoons) The bassoon duet is kind of a joke in itself - it is really, really high! All versions are in the single download.

The full version is available for flute, clarinet, and saxophone quartets.

You can access the freebies of the past in the JB Linear Music Archive. Click on "Freebie Archives" at the left.

Player's quinte* of the month:

For those who feel their "emoting" is more important than being reasonably in tune: If it does not sound good, what good is it? Or, to use Duke Ellington's quote, "If it sounds good, it IS good".

 Have fun playing

Sincerely,

John Gibson
