This month the freebie sheet music is "Three Landlers" by Giuliani set by John Gibson for flute quartet, clarinet quartet, and woodwind quartet (flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon - with alternate bass clarinet part). A Landler was an early form of the waltz. Very cheery music for the new year!

Matthew is a teacher, performer and published writer living in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. He has submitted a number of fine woodwind quintets that are now online. They have the advantage of having alternate parts provided so a clarinet could play the oboe part, or a bass clarinet could play the bassoon part if those instruments are not available.
Here is a list of Matthew's pieces. You can get more information and make your purchases by clicking on the link.
Schubert Serenade from the song cycle Schwanengesang for bassoon and piano

Player's quinte* of the month:
A good part of what your audience hears is really what they see, so take a video of yourself playing. Do you dance around like a dizzy giraffe or scowl like an angry cobra ready to strike? Ease up a little and keep your audience's eyes in mind.
Have fun playing!
Sincerely,
John Gibson JB Linear Music
