Next month's Freebie Download:
Allegro from Solo III by John Stanley (1713 - 1786) for piano and solo woodwind instruments.
Player's quinte* of the month:
Are you against the wall? - Maybe you should be. This is a good way to hear yourself differently and point out such problems as a noisy tongue sound. According to saxophonist Sue Terry, listening to your shadow tone and the overtones within your basic sound can help you focus on your sound quality. The shadow tone is the same note you are playing, but is a bit in the background. Overtones are those higher components of each note that make up the total sound. Try it against different types of walls, doors, even in a corner.
Have fun playing!
Sincerely,
John Gibson JB Linear Music
