This month the free music download is a group of trio versions of "Pantalon" by Amy Marcy Beach. A Pantalon is a type of hammered dulcimer. It is set for flute/oboe/bassoon, flute/clarinet/bassoon, 3 flutes, 2 clarinets/bass clarinet, and 2 alto saxes/tenor sax.

Did you know that the Christmas season is a great sheet music buying time? Do you have a Christmas-season related piece for woodwinds you would like to have distributed by JB Linear Music? Email me for details about distribution of your sheet music.
In process for Christmas right now are my settings of "Weichnauchtsbaum" (Christmas Tree) by Franz Liszt. Liszt wrote these brilliant short pieces for his granddaughter, Daniela, in 1881. There are 12 pieces, and 6 of those work well for transcriptions.
Marten King has added a number of fine clarinet quartets by Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, and Grieg. Marten's quartets are written for the standard instruments (2 Bb clarinets, Alto, and Bass). He takes care to choose music that transcribes well and everyone has a fun part to play.
