New Music at JB Linear |
|
Announcing music of Amy Beach - Born in 1867, Amy Beach was a pioneering woman pianist and composer at a time when women were not encouraged to do such things. JB Linear Music is pleased to publish new arrangements of music from the series of piano pieces called "From Grandmother's Garden" Op. 97, written in 1922. Although one might imagine this to be rather sentimental music, Amy Beach used advanced techniques of harmony and style. There are five movements, each describing or alluding to a plant one would find in a Victorian garden. Click on the links below to see and hear samples
Announcing music from Anamaria Campbell - Anamaria is a free-lance flute player and teacher in the Portland-Vancouver area.
More music from Marten King - Marten continues to send quality music for clarinets.
More great flute and clarinet duets from Joe Armstrong and Liz Leehey
Be sure to visit the JB Linear Music website links for more information and music samples. |

Next month's Freebie Download: duet versions of Allegro by John Stanley (1713 - 1786)
Player's hint of the month: "Good teachers save students vast amounts of time and effort in their learning endeavor. They also can provide a reasonable structure in which learning can take place. Without this guidance students may find out much of what teachers already know but it's like re-inventing the wheel." Matthew Harre in Musical Fossils website
Have fun playing!
Sincerely,
John Gibson JB Linear Music |
