Last year the Foundation distributed more than $3.3 million dollars to support Providence programs and services.
A Message from the Foundation WaynePresident

The Foundation is proud to report that it raised $4.4 million dollars in 2008. Thanks to the generosity of 3,500 donors, this total constitutes the most money raised in our history. We extend deep appreciation to those who made this achievement possible. The breadth of philanthropic support that we receive derives from many sources -including individuals, businesses, grateful patients, foundations and Providence employees - through a variety of giving campaigns, special events, honor memorials, grants, and estate gifts. Our board members act as thoughtful stewards of these gifts and direct them to local Providence programs and services. Providence can continue to provide the best quality of care in our community because of your generous gifts.

Last year the Foundation distributed $3.3 million to Providence.  Through our internal grant cycle, $656,000 was awarded to Providence services in order to purchase needed medical equipment, provide financial assistance to a variety of Providence programs and fund capital improvement projects.

We are proud and grateful to help so many people in our region of Washington. Thank you for your generosity, interest and investment in supporting our mission of providing quality and compassionate care to all, regardless of their ability to pay. Your contributions mean a great deal and we deeply value your trust and support of Providence.

Providence Introduces the New ColuccioSouthwest Washington Service Area Chief Executive

Providence recently announced that they have found an outstanding individual to lead the Southwest Washington Service Area (SWSA) when Scott Bond retires from Providence in June. Medrice Coluccio, currently the Regional Chief Executive Officer for the Lower Columbia Region of PeaceHealth, will join Providence as the new SWSA Chief Executive in mid-May.

In her current role, Medrice is responsible for the operations of a 346-licensed bed, multi-campus, integrated delivery system, which includes a physician group of 120 multi-specialty physicians, a foundation and operating revenues totaling $225 million.  She is also responsible for system-wide construction and facility management initiatives throughout PeaceHealth.
