Dear
It has been another busy month for us in the office but there are some exciting developments afoot with our Your Salon Lawyer service and, in a very unlawyerly fashion, they are all free!
Education: we were delighted to be a part of East Surrey College's recent employer event and we hope to expand our support of the educational arena by providing clinics or seminars wherever we can. Thanks to ESC we even managed to fill in some gaps in our own knowledge about apprenticeships which is a regular question we receive from our salons!
Lifestyle: the issues with Lifestyle appear to continue with yet another salon approaching us only yesterday. We will continue to monitor things but our recommendation at present is that if you are already using a Solicitor to check matters then please do continue to use them as we don't want salons to be double-charged. We are however, very interested in receiving e-mails with information and don't forget that sharing is always free and will not commit you to anything with us. It may just help other salons, though.
We also understand from our friends at the NHF's Salon Focus that the BBC's The One Show and now Watchdog are also interested.
Investors: there are moves afoot for some investors to help salons grow by helping them acquire their own freeholds or alternatively by providing management support. This is an interesting opportunity and one that could add real value if the right investors have the right experience in hair and beauty are not simply vulture funds. If you have any questions about this let us know.
New Salons: We are delighted to welcome our first Barber client, the celebrity barber Daniel Rouah and we hope this will enable us to learn a little more about this niche within the industry we enjoy serving.
In the meantime, if you have an interest in our services then just drop us an e-mail.
Good luck for May!
