The market, according to the Nationwide today, has turned upwards but they warn against cheering from the rafters quite yet. And whilst mortgage advisers (who you may have in house) are continually frustrated by the lack of viable mortgage products in the market, the Agents continue to try and convert leads into sales as you remain on the front line of any property recovery.

There have been warnings by RICS on over-pricing to win business which could misrepresent the state of the market but our view is that the market will always correct and self-correct.

Within the conveyancing arena there has been a renewed interest in quality of service and development of new areas. Large firms such as Hammonds Direct and Fox Hayes went to the wall, and others are up for sale with no takers. The Abbey National culled 50% of its conveyancing panel too.
