Hanukkah Music Program

Celebrating Hanukkah with family and friends is so important to the leadership of the Jewish Pavilion of Central Florida. "In the spirit of the holiday, special programs have been arranged for residents at all 50 of the facilities we visit" says Arlene van de Rijn, Program Coordinator. "We are continuing our monthly series of Jewish musical programs at Horizon Bay (formally Merrill Gardens) on Boston Avenue" adds Nancy Ludin Executive Director.

The next music program will be held on Sunday, December 14th at 1 PM. "The performance is open to the entire community and I encourage people of all ages to come and share in the festivities." Claire Chepenik will be providing potato latkes,Luci Belnik will be providing home-made noodle pudding (kugel) and Howard Sherman will be providing doughnuts. All three serve on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Pavilion.  Over sixty participants are expected.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Howard Friedman and his daughter, Ally Friedman, age 9. Howard Friedman has been playing guitar for thirty-five years. Ally Friedman plays piano and violin. She is a fourth grade student at Domerich Elementary School.

 "Building a Legacy of Care"

Support our efforts to enhance the lives of Jewish residents in assisted  living and nursing facilities throughout Central Florida by providing regular visitation, Shabbat and holiday meals, religious services, rabbinical visits, Yiddish musical programs and other enrichments. We make over 100 visits a week to seniors in fifty long-term care facilities in addition to our group programs. Our respite  program gives caregivers a break on Fridays by allowing their loved ones to meet at the JCC for  day long  activities including a Shabbat service. With  your help, we can expand our program and reach out to more people in need.

GIVING LEVELS:
