Danny Thomas of the Maryland MYC won the EC12 Class annual March Champions Regatta. This event brings the top people from the four seasonal series programs to single fleet racing for two days in Charleston. There were 16 boats on the line. Following Danny to the podium was Alan Perkins from Sumter Landing EC12 MYC FL, Dave Ramos from Annapolis MYC, Baron Bremer from Jacksonville MYC and Reichard Kahle from Charleston MYC. Two weeks later was the St. Petersburg FL two-day regatta with 27 entries. Baron Bremer won the event by five points over Alan Perkins then followed by John Bottensek, Bob Greer and Tony Rieck. This was the second of seven in the Florida series this year.
