2009 AMYA J CLASS REGION 1 CHAMPIONSHIP
The Herreshoff Marine Museum (HMM) / America's Cup Hall of Fame, AMYA and US VMYG team are collaborating on the J Class Region 1 Championship August 7-9 at the Museum in Bristol, R.I. It will include "Legends of Yachting" challenge race with sailing world luminaries such as Halsey Herreshoff taking the helms of J models. Complementing it is summer exhibit on model design and technology features from America's Cup and other racing yachts. Sailing models from the HMM collection will be displayed having the design influences of Nathanael G. and L. Francis Herreshoff. Exhibit will illustrate relationship between models and full-scale yacht designing via 80-year design chronology of the AMYA Marblehead Class. Event kicks-off Thursday, August 6, with VMYG lecture that captures the highlights of 100 years of model and full-scale yachting.

Notice of Raffle
The EC-12 Class is Raffling off an EC-12 hull,
deck, rudder and ballast. A value of a over $600.00. Tickets are $5.00
each or six for $25.00 This is a great opportunity to get into the
EC-12 Class or pick up your second boat.
This raffle is open to all AMYA members and their friends. The raffle is being held from now until November 14th. The Drawing and award will be held at the EC-12 Nationals in St. Augustine , Florida . You need not be present to win. The winner will be responsible for shipping should other arrangements not be possible.
Every one needs a little help now and then. The proceeds from this raffle are going to help a fellow AMYA member
