This Saturday, January 24th, we'll be having the annual lead ballast pouring party. Click here for more detail.
There will be a streaming webcam for our friends that can't make it. The camera may carry all of the excitement of watching paint dry. It will go live that morning.

WOODS HOLE MODEL
BOAT SHOW TO BE HELD APRIL 18TH and 19TH
Join us for the Seventh
Biennial Woods Hole Model Boat Show, sponsored by the Woods Hole Historical
Museum.Some 125 models - both static and RC -- will be on display
the weekend of April 18th and 19th throughout the village,
and races of radio controlled model boats will take place both days on Eel
Pond.The exhibits will feature historic and modern models,
workboats and pleasure craft.At last year's show, exhibiters came
not only from the East Coast but from as far away as New Mexico.
If you'd like to include your
model boats in our exhibit, check out our website at www.woodsholemuseum.org to register.The deadline
is March 15th.
Workshops, demonstrations and
talks will also be given on both Saturday and Sunday.Watch how
artisans create ships in bottles. A boat appraiser will be available to evaluate
visitors' maritime items.Commercial exhibiters will sell completed
models, kits and equipment for building models, and on Saturday morning Nobska
Lighthouse and the Woods Hole aquarium will be open to visitors.
Children will be able to
build, paint and sail a model boat from a kit ($10), and to play with
radio-controlled boats, as well.
The show is a friend maker
and fundraiser for the Woods Hole Historical Museum.Tickets are
$12 for adults and $5 for children over six -- or $25 for families.

Region 1 vs. Region 2 Team Racing Challenge Regatta
UPDATE: The date has been set for the first weekend in May. This team racing event will be hosted by Mid-Atlantic MYC and will take place at Laurel Acres Park in Mount Laurel, NJ. Though we are sailing CR914's supplied by Chesapeake Performance Models, we would like to see skippers from other classes join in. To express interest in participating, contact Chuck Luscomb for Region 1 or David Brawner for Region 2.
