Greetings!
We based our 2nd annual celebration on the components that define the SCC: education, exhibit and performance to teach and expose the rich cultural heritage of African Americans. A free lecture series will explore the History of the American Civil Rights Movement. "Visual Heritage II" is on exhibit in the gallery. A live performance with Touche will present a musical journey through the history of jazz. And finally, "Inside the Out'side of Jazz" will examine the creative process and sociology of music as they relate to our everyday lives. Make a point to join us, our lecturers, musicians and artists this month to have a good time and learn simultaneously. Sincerely, Kirsten Lonnie Southampton Cultural Center
