The 2012 Canberra BusinessPoint Award winners have been announced! We would like to thank all those who came to the ceremony for helping to make it a night to remember. Our next Canberra BusinessPoint Clinic will be on the Research & Development (R&D) Tax Incentive and will be held on 25 September by appointment. We also have a Canberra BusinessPoint Master Class on Technology Outsourcing: Acknowledging the Elephant in the Room coming on 3 October. This Master Class seeks to debunk some of the mythology surrounding technology outsourcing and help local SME owners in the technology services sector make informed decisions. The target for this event is any high-growth technology services or product company director that would like to fully understand the options available to his or her business and also network in a positive environment with those who are already doing so. This month, Brilliant Idea opened its seventh funding round. We will be doing things a little bit differently this time around and we hope to continue to add value to this ACT Government initiative through the Office for  Women.

The 2012 Canberra BusinessPoint Awards night was a great success. It was great to see the Canberra business community come together to celebrate the achievements of some of Canberra's most innovative businesses. The National Portrait Gallery was abuzz with conversation and networking over delicious canapés and beverages from the Portrait Café.
