These advanced sessions are for serious inventors who have done some preliminary investigation of the market and invention feasibility of their concept and have a basic understanding of the costs and time involved in patenting.

Attending a patent clinic offers the opportunity of a confidential one-to-one Consultation with a registered Patent and Trade Mark attorney and a Lighthouse Commercialisation Manager to discuss your concept and receive:

• an understanding of potential IP rights available to protect your concept*
• assistance in constructing a search and filing strategy for patents and other IP
• referral to other agencies for professional help and funding; and
• basic guidance on procedures for registration of IP rights.

The sessions are completely free.

*Please note that biotechnology (devices intended to diagnose or treat disease in humans or animals) is a highly-specialised area of patenting and will not be covered by this particular clinic.
