Greetings!
Lighthouse, in conjunction with Epicorp and the ACT Government, is excited to have launched the Entrepreneur Development Fund (EDF) this month. We are keen to meet with key individuals of up-and-coming businesses in the ACT. Check out our featured article for more information.
Also this month, Lighthouse welcomes Lachlan Blackhall to the team. Lachlan will be working with Lighthouse clients as well as developing some products for Lighthouse. Many of you know Lachlan from his days with Innovation ACT.
We have a number of great events coming up. The Canberra BusinessPoint Commercial Law Clinic is already fully booked for both dates. Our other upcoming Canberra BusinessPoint event, the Talent Management Master Class, is already close to capacity. We are looking for suggestions for topics to cover in future events.
Kind regards,
Anna Pino, Cindy Reese Mitchell, Lachlan Blackhall, Su Hodge, Lyn Robbins and Lauren Mitchell |

What is the Entrepreneur Development Fund? The Entrepreneur Development Fund (EDF) is a pilot program funded by the ACT Government, Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre Limited and Epicorp Limited. EDF is designed to facilitate the development of key individuals in high-growth potential businesses in the ACT through skills and knowledge transfer. The pilot program will run from 1 July 2011 through to 31 December 2012 unless funding is expended earlier. For more information and examples of eligible projects see EDF Program Structure.
EDF Selection Process You must be an established business based in the ACT in order to be eligible to apply for support under EDF. The project to be funded must be clearly identifiable and the key person willing and able to dedicate themselves to the project in order to complete it within the nominated timeframe. For more information on the selection process see EDF Assessment Criteria.
In order to lodge an application you must first contact Lighthouse on 6163 8301 to discuss the eligibility of your proposed project.
The Entrepreneur Development Fund is administered by Lighthouse on behalf of the ACT Government and Epicorp. All three partners will be involved in the selection of successful applicants.
