The Lighthouse team is spreading out its wings in more ways than one. Cindy is enjoying a much deserved holiday in the United States, Lyn is about to go on a Thai adventure and Anna will soon be embarking on a short study tour.
Ken Kroeger has joined the team part time to help bed down Canberra BusinessPoint and develop some new products. Ken brings rich experiences and business acumen to Lighthouse's mentoring programming and one-on-one consultations.
With the growth of Brilliant Idea participation and interest in the ACT Microcredit program, Su started working full-time in March. Brilliant Idea celebrates its first anniversary in April. This will be an event at Questacon including guest speakers and a Business Showcase of micro businesses and their creators who have been supported through the program.
Lighthouse continues to work closely with the Canberra Business Council on the delivery of Canberra BusinessPoint and ways to provide enhanced services to the business community. Under contract to the ACT Government for the provision of commercialisation services, the Lighthouse focus is on mentoring and targeted advice for those small businesses with the potential to grow and expand quickly.
