Unleashing Your Innovation Potential
News & Events from Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre

Greetings!

Happy New Year!

We have had  a busy start to the year here at Lighthouse with the launch of the new-look Canberra BusinessPoint, a Brilliant Idea loan application round and a trip to Newcastle to support the Australian Association of Angel Investors.  We've seen a significant spike in bookings for our free and confidential business opportunity validation assessments--so much so that our team will be growing soon!

The Lighthouse service delivery 'footprint' is quite large, despite our small team, because of the help of our incredibly generous mentor network.  These individuals give hundreds of hours each year to help develop the business capability of the next generation of business leaders.  Would you like to count yourself among these? We are putting out a special call out for mentors for the Brilliant Idea program.

Kind Regards,

Anna Pino, Cindy Reese Mitchell, Su Hodge, Lyn Robbins and Lauren Mitchell

Canberra BusinessPoint

Canberra BusinessPoint 2011 Launches 31 January
The ACT Government recently announced that the reinvigorated Canberra BusinessPoint (CBP) program will be delivered jointly by the Canberra Business Council and Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre.

CBP will be delivered in two modules. The first provides a range of general services and resources for those thinking of starting a business and those that are in the very early stages of their business planning.

The second module provides mentoring and targeted advice for those firms with the potential to grow and expand quickly.  The advice focuses on the issues and opportunities the enterprise will face along its growth path and also facilitates access to potential sources of funding and investment opportunities.
