9 March: Entrepreneurial Pitfalls - Look Before You Leap With Mr Murray Rankin

Murray Rankin is best known as a Founder of The Distillery, a Canberra based global technology success story. Listen to Murray share his experiences on Tues 9 March at 5:30pm. 

Murray was responsible for growing the Distillery from two founders in 1997 to a global company with 130 employees operating in the ACT, US, UK, NZ, South Africa and Asia.

He has won numerous national awards for entrepreneurship, technology and innovation including the Telstra National Small Business of the Year, AIIA/Australian Financial Review iAward for Most Innovative Product, rated #17 in Deloitte's Tech-Fast 50 and was a past winner of the ACT Emerging Exporter of theYear.

16 March 2010: Dr Sam Prince - The Importance Of Asking The Second Question

Presented in association with Schmooze's Young Professional Program. Guest speaker, Dr Sam Prince, Founder of the Emagine foundation will share his insights on the theme: "The second question, the importance of asking the second question and how it can change the course of your entrepreneurial trajectory."

Sam Prince is a true entrepreneur, excelling in Business, Philanthropy and Medicine. A practising Doctor at the Canberra Hospital, he is also the founder and Director of a national restaurant chain called Zambrero Fresh Mex Grill. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his hard work and dedication to business including Best Young Gun in business and a Business Excellence Award. He is also the founder and director of Live Design Group, a dynamic graphic design company and the founder and director of the Emagine foundation, a humanitarian foundation aimed at providing education to underprivileged areas throughout the world. Through the Emagine foundation he has already seen to the construction of 15 schools and has received the Sir Edward Weary Dunlop Fellowship for his humanitarian efforts.
