2011 YEAR-END DASHBOARD
| |
CALENDAR YEAR IN REVIEW
In calendar year 2011, 28,262 calls came into 2-1-1 Information and Referral.
Of that total, 23,228 were given specific referrals to agencies that provide assistance with a number of health and human services such as utility or rent assistance, food, shelter, housing, medical care, dental care, prescription assistance, and much more. Additionally, PPUW 2-1-1 addresses seasonal needs throughout the year such as tax preparation, school supplies, health fairs, and holiday assistance.
In 2011, 2-1-1 became part of the following initiatives:
- CATCH (Community Access to Coordinated Health) whose mission is to connect Coloradans with healthcare.
- Health Fair Collaborative whose continuing mission of community outreach is to assure quality health care availability for Coloradans by taking part in health fairs throughout the year and identifying those individuals/families without health care and providing options.
- Calhan Coalition whose mission is to bring programs and services to rural areas of El Paso County and serve those populations in need.
The 2-1-1 Community Calendar was created to ensure our community has a centralized location to find low to no cost services such as support groups, budget classes, health fairs, immunization fairs, flu clinics, etc. View online.
2-1-1 celebrated its seventh anniversary on June 22, 2011 and has proudly severed over 150,000 individuals/families in need. Calls to 2-1-1 continue to increase each year as more people learn of the service and the ease in which they are able to get the information they need.
There is still much to do to serve those in need in our community and 2-1-1 is looking forward to another successful year in 2012. |
