2-1-1 NEWS

CO 211

Summer is here and that means health fairs and immunization clinics. Solid Rock Family Life Center's Health Fair will take place on Saturday, July 23rd and Northern Churches Care Health Fair takes place on Saturday, July 30th. Dial 2-1-1 for details.

PPUW's first annual Day of Action took place on Tuesday, June 21st.  Day of Action is a national volunteer opportunity.  Locally, our first event created awareness and advocated for our 2-1-1 Information and Referral hotline.  Teams canvassed the Mill Street and Hillside neighborhoods with 750 informational door hangers for 2-1-1!  Afterwards, volunteers met at the Marian House Soup Kitchen to learn about their Poverty Reduction Program and the 2-1-1/Marian House Pilot Program.  Check out the photos of the event.

2-1-1 is a free, confidential information and referral hotline for health and human service needs.  Each year thousands of Coloradans receive referrals for help with utilities, rent, food/meals, clothing, shelter or transitional housing, healthcare, dental care or assistance with numerous other challenges.
