Bahamas Shark by Miguel Lasa This image was taken during my last trip to Bahamas to photograph tiger sharks. While there, we also had very close encounters with other sharks such as lemon and reef sharks. The water was full of sharks, 2 or 3 tiger sharks going in circles around the boat and more than 30 reef and lemon sharks following the same ritual. There was no cage, just free diving with 30 sharks and underwater camera—scary for a land photographer like me! Every 4 minutes or so a huge tiger shark would get closer, may be only 2 meters away, enough to take good portrait photos while watching it very carefully. You always need to have eye contact with tiger sharks when free diving. The image cover was a reef shark. She really got close to me, so close I could touch her with my hands. In this photo she was only 5cm from my wide angle camera dome. Maybe she was attracted by the camera dome reflection. She was gentle and I did not feel any fear. This was one of the most amazing close encounters in wild nature I ever had and an experience I will never forget. Equipment Used: Canon EOS 450D, 1/125 sec; Aperture: 11, Exposure mode: Tv, Flash: On, Metering mode: Multi-segment, ISO: 400, Lens: EF-S10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, Focal length: 10mm, Subject distance: 0.530m, Ikelite Housing. Big Dome, 2 sync Strobes. |

Photoshop CS6 Arrivesby E.J. Peiker Two years after Adobe gave us Photoshop CS5, Photoshop CS6 was released. It continues its run as the choice for fine-tuning photographs by professionals and serious hobbyists. In the past two years, Adobe's other photography oriented product, Lightroom, has taken some market share from Photoshop among photographers but there are still many things that can not be done in Lightroom.
