Fairytale - Andrew George

"Here is another (for me very special) shot of my recent trip to Iceland. I actually didn't expect I would be photographing the Aurora Borealis during my 8 day trip. I've maybe hoped to see a glimpse of the Northern Light once in my life (maybe during the trip), but I got a whole lot more. The feeling I got was like I was in a fairytale, so unreal and magical was this moment to me. Especially when you come from The Netherlands where you would never see this phenomenon. It was a great bonus of my photographic trip."

Seeking the Sun: My Experience as a NANPA College Program Student
by Kari Post

It was still dark out, as far as I could tell, and I had no idea in which direction we were traveling or what roads we were on. I sat in silence, listening to the conversations around me. In the front passenger row of the van, University of California Santa Cruz graduate student Abe Borker was chatting with professional travel photographer Cindy Miller-Hopkins. As I listened to her explain how she gets to choose the places she travels for work, all expenses paid of course, I thought to myself... Read full article >

Roads More Traveled
by Royce Howland

The famous Robert Frost poem, "The Road Not Taken", ends with a few lines that are easily seen as inspiration for the outdoor photographer: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." Read full article >
