Dear
By the wonder of modern technology, you are reading this newsletter, while I am in the remote wilderness of the Northwest Territories guiding a canoe trip on the Nahanni River, one of Canada's most spectacular whitewater rivers.
While I'm gone, Brooke will be teaching two classes on Thursday evenings, beginning on July 7. You'll find the details of the summer classes below.
Later this summer, when I return, I'm excited to be hosting filmaker, inspirational speaker and Canada's busiest eclipse chaser, David Makepeace. David will do a multi media presentation on solar eclipses and how they've completely changed his view of the world...and himself. Scroll down to find out more.
I hope you are doing something you love and connecting with the healing power of the natural elements this summer. I look forward to seeing you when I return to teach the second half of the summer session of classes, or in the fall when our full schedule resumes. |

Summer Yoga Classes |
There are two regular weekly yoga classes this summer, both on Thursday evenings.
Gentle Yoga
6:00 - 7:15
Intermediate Yoga
7:30 - 9:00
The classes will run on the following dates:
July 7 - August 18 (no classes on August 11)
Missed classes in the summer: If you are planning to be away over the summer, you can make up missed classes during the first few weeks of the fall term (for students who register in the fall term only). Your time to make up classes will be extended by the number of weeks that you're away. For example, if you're on vacation for two weeks, you will have an extension of two weeks into the fall to make up missed summer classes. When making up classes, students who are registered in the class have first priority when a class is full.

Teacher Training and Advanced Yoga Studies
As of this writing, there is one spot left in the Teacher Training course scheduled to begin in September, 2011. |
Body Blitz Water Spa Field Trip |
On Wednesday, June 8, 2011, six of us ventured to Toronto for a blissful trip to the healing waters of the Body Blitz Spa.

After three hours of soaking, steaming, sauna-ing, showering, socializing and some silliness, we oozed our way over to Fresh, a wonderful vegetarian restaurant a few blocks away. Here we are, post spa bliss.

David Makepeace - Partnering with the Universe |

For 20 years, David Makepeace has travelled the world to witness solar eclipses - a natural phenomenon that has been called the most spectacular event you can witness from earth. "When the shadow of the Moon sweeps over us, we are brought into direct contact with a tangible presence that is awe-inspiring. That there is a powerful relationship between us, and the immense forces of the universe becomes undeniable." What possible relationship could you have to the universe? How could it make a difference in your life?
With breathtaking film and video captured around the world at eclipse events, Makepeace takes us on a tour of our world and our solar system - widening the perspective on our lives as only an eclipse chaser can. Discover how the simple beauty and mystery of our world can open the door to a greater awareness of what we are and our place in the universe.
Makepeace, aka. "the pitchman for the universe," recently presented "Understanding Ourselves in an Epic Universe" at the TEDx conference in Toronto.
