Dear
You only have to look around you at this time of year to be filled with wonder and delight that the kaleidoscope of color that meets you as you drive or walk around. Whether you're in the country or the city, there's opportunites all around to enjoy the changing landscape of fiery red, vibrant yellow and glowing orange.
Autumn in this part of the world is a magnificent season to behold. It's no wonder that a whole day was set aside to give thanks for the bounty and beauty of this season.
Like many of our holidays, Thanksgiving has become more about the outward and less about the inward as it has evolved. Sure, it's great to get together with loved ones and share a turkey or tofurkey depending on your taste for bird or bean, but how often do we tap into our deeper feelings of gratitude? How often do we choose to see our abundance rather than our challenges or lack? How easy is it to stay caught up in the rush of back-to-school-back-to-work-gotta-keep-up-with-it-all and forget to stop to enjoy a sunset or a perfectly spiced pumpkin pie? To really savour the deliciousness of being alive?
This Thanksgiving, I invite you to reflect on what you're truly grateful for. When you stop to give thanks, don't be surprised to discover how wildly abundant your life is. |

Yoga for Children Ages 5 - 11 | |
Yoga is an excellent tool for children to help improve focus, flexibility, balance, confidence and to reduce stress. Children take naturally to the postures of yoga, often named after animals or elements of nature. They can be as still as a mountain, as rooted as a tree, as ferocious as a lion and as majestic as an eagle. Their ability to use their imaginations without inhibition allows them to explore and embody the qualities of the poses in a profound but playful way.
Taught by Margo Lee, teacher, librarian and yoga instructor. Margo's creativity and devotion to educating young minds, makes for fun and precise learning.
Date: Saturdays, October 16 - December 4, 2010
