ITS Cabinet (Intelligent Transport Systems):

Enables interchangeability and vendor-independence for traffic signal controllers and cabinet components. It also defines core traffic signal operations to ensure uniform functionality.

Caltrans TEES (Transportation Electrical Equipment Specifications):
| What it is: | Exact physical and operating system requirements for rack-mount traffic signal controller and cabinet systems, including Model 170 and 2070 controllers. | | Why it's important: |
Like NEMA TS 2, the TEES specification enables interchangeability and vendor-independence for traffic signal controllers and cabinet components. The difference is that TEES includes more specific hardware requirements and does not define signal control operation.
