Crusader Club Cares Day

Saturday, January 28

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Register deadline is January 20. Reply to the Evite or contact Jennifer Hand.

Pre-k through eighth grade St. John's students and their parents are invited to spend a morning serving others as part of the Crusader Club's third annual Crusader Club Cares Day. Participants will have an opportunity to complete age-appropriate service projects for a variety of local organizations, including CitySquare (formerly Central Dallas Ministries), Dallas Life Foundation, Juliette Fowler Homes, Mi Esquelita and Reinhardt Elementary School.

On the morning of the event, we will gather at 9:00 a.m. in the Lower School Commons for coffee and breakfast snacks. By 9:30, we will leave for the individual projects which will last for a couple of hours. (Durations will vary, but we expect most to end by noon.)

Each project has a limited number of spaces available, and they will be assigned based on age and agency accommodations. You will receive your assignment before the event.

Stay tuned for project details and a list of items we will collect the week prior. These items are on the needs lists at the agencies our teams will serve. Everything received will be sorted and donated during the projects. Donations are optional.

Crusader Club Cares Day: We are still recruiting leaders for some of our projects. If you are interested in helping out with planning this rewarding event, please contact Jennifer Hand.

A Note of Gratitude

Crusader Club for hosting a super fun Holiday Hayride! What a blast!

Uniform Resale has reached its goal of $6,000, which directly benefits the Dorothy Patterson Scholarship Fund. THAT is great news and the result of lots of hard work from two great volunteers: Kara Name and Tana Parsons. A big thanks to you all.

To Parents who gave so generously toward the Holiday Teacher Gift Fund -- thank you. We were able to give each and every teacher and staff person a little holiday cheer to spend as they wish. Thank you for your generous "goodwill"!

Spirit Chairs Stacy Puddy and Leslie Irwin sold out of their darling pajama pants! And they looked super cute doing it. Thanks for braving the cold weather and getting the job done, ladies!

Stephanie Taylor and Laura Crain for helping Nancy Jacobs with admission testing. Way to give it your all -- thank you!
