Seat Sale - 40% off!
|

Would it help to have Chenomx NMR Suite installed on more computers in your lab? Having more
seats can add to productivity and be convenient. Well, we might not be an
airline, but we can still have a seat sale! Until December 31, 2009, we will be
offering a 40% discount off your regular list price of any additional seats of
Chenomx NMR Suite.
So, if you already have a license of Chenomx NMR Suite, you can use this
discount to purchase additional seats at a 40% discount off your regular list
price. If you are not already a Chenomx NMR Suite user, but were thinking
of purchasing a license, then you can use this discount on any additional seats
you need after your original first seat is purchased. This means it is a
great time to finally purchase an in-house license of Chenomx NMR Suite!
Buy as many seats as you like at this discounted price, but the offer expires
December 31st, 2009 (hard to believe, but that is only six weeks away). See the coupon at the bottom of this page or contact us for details.
Don't forget, we also offer contract services for anyone who does not want to
purchase a license, but still wants to benefit from our patented metabolic
profiling technique. Using our Introductory Research Study Package is a great
place to start! |

Publications Using Chenomx NMR Suite |
In the November 2009 issue of Metabolism, there was a study published by Boor et al. entitled Regular moderate exercise reduces advanced glycation and ameliorates early diabetic nephropathy in obese Zucker rats. This paper used the patented " Targeted Profiling" technology of Chenomx NMR Suite to show that systemically, exercise increased aerobic
metabolism in obese Zucker rats (OZR - a model of diabetes- and obesity-associated nephropathy) as apparent from urinary metabolite profiling using Chenomx NMR Suite. No
differences in plasma glucose, insulin, or lipid profile were found
between the 2 groups. Exercise in OZR decreased advanced glycation. This might
represent the early event of exercise-induced renoprotection in
diabetic nephropathy in OZR. They concluded that, if confirmed in clinical studies, regular
moderate exercise could represent an easy and effective
nonpharmacologic approach to reduce advanced glycation. To see the abstract and sign-in to read this paper click here. If you have published any material using Chenomx NMR Suite, please do not hesitate to let us know so that we can mention it in this newsletter. We would love to see it!

New Metabolomics Conference
|
Chenomx is proud to be a silver sponsor at the first International Metabolomics Symposium taking place March 10-12, 2010, in Freising-Weihenstephanin, Germany. This informative conference will focus on new analytic methods,
late-breaking discoveries, as well as challenges and pitfalls in metabolomics
studies. Leading scientists will discuss the value of Metabolomics in basic
science applications, in diagnostics and in nutrition and food research.
You can register for this 2-1/2 day conference and get more information by clicking here.

Chenomx NMR Suite 6.0 Tips
|

When using the Processor module in
Chenomx NMR Suite 6.0, remember that in spectra of aqueous samples, the water peak may be distorted relative to the rest of the spectrum; do not use the water peak to determine phasing. Instead, try to obtain smooth baseline curves to either side of the water peak. |
